President Obama, we need to talk about your legacy. You know, you could save it if you just change parties. With an increase in racial discord, Obamacare, the Iranian deal, the rise of ISIS, diminution of U.S. military forces… your legacy is lacking. In changing to the Republican Party, you could find redemption. You would be remembered for leaving Plato’s Cave and setting an example for others.
How did you choose to become a Democrat, anyway? You must have fallen for the Democrats’ deceptive rationalization, the big all-the-racists-Democrats-moved-to-the-Republican-Party-in-the-1960s lie.
The history of the Republican Party has Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation, Ida B. Wells–one of the founders of the NAACP and a Republican, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, African Americans’ right to vote, women’s right to vote.
The history of the Democratic Party has slavery, Andrew Jackson (cruel slave owner), Jim Crow laws, Ku Klux Klan, Woodrow Wilson (racist), the Clinton Foundation, over 58 million babies along with their love and purpose aborted since 1973.
I used to rent a condo in a community of homeowners who were dealing with shoddy construction. One homeowner found mold in his garage and filed a lawsuit. His lawyer went door-to-door seeking other plaintiffs. No one would join the lawsuit, yet everyone had issues with second floor disposals draining into first floor sinks, water leaks, soft drywall, etc. One homeowner didn’t care about the construction because his employer would buy his condo at the market price in the event of relocation. He made friends with the builder/property management who then persuaded him to talk neighbors out of joining the lawsuit. He reminded them of their condominiums’ discounted prices at well below market values and that should be enough compensation. He advised that they just stay where they were and reflect on the good things. Obama, you relocated to the White House, but your former neighbors in Chicago deal with high crime rates and lack of hope. Capitalism, education and tearing up the oppressive race card could fix Chicago, if only Republicans were in charge. But no, the Democrats need blacks to stay where they are and reflect on the “good things” of the Democratic Party, like slavery and Jim Crow laws and injustice and Margaret Sanger.
Obama, the Republican Party waits for you and the black community to come home. You don’t have to stay in the cave. Need I remind you that you are free and light is good. Welcome to the Light Side.
